Applying to register a domain name

Any dot-com domain name you register has to be unique. A dot-com domain name can be registered only once and the first-come-first-served principle applies.

order now your .com domain name

Any person or organisation can apply to register a dot-com domain name, regardless of where they live or are based.

Check whether the name you have thought of is still available

To do this, you need to use the Who(Is) service on this website. On the homepage, you will see the option ‘Is the dot-NL domain name still available?’ Enter the .NL domain name you are interested in and click on ‘Check’. The ‘Is’ service will then tell you the status of the domain name. If the status is ‘Available’, it is available for you to register.

.com (commercial) is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) used on the Internet's Domain Name System. It was one of the original top-level domains (TLDs), established in January 1985, and has grown to be the largest TLD in use. It was originally administered by the United States Department of Defense.
